The MIDI era of PC Music
I can't be the only person on MB that has happy childhood memories of playing MIDIs on Windows 95! If you can find your old favorites, you really MUST share them!
This is painfully nerdy and I'm not even sure if it goes here (in Electronica) but I didn't see anything else like this on the forums already so, time to let my inner geek truly shine! From the RPG/text adventure style game Mordor: The Depths of Dejenol. From the legendary Hover! Baahahahahahahhaa. I don't even know what instruments these MIDIs were trying to go for. I don't know the terminology for it but as far as I know different computers actually produced different sounds for MIDI instruments too, so you get a really different sound depending. Like in this Hover! clip I don't hear the sounds I'm familiar with but the tune is still there? I LOVED the music for this Word Search game tooo. T____T More to come, obviously. ;P Last edited by misspoptart; 12-04-2014 at 06:28 AM. |
