Default Jai Paul

Ayep, so this guy who has officially released TWO TRACKS (the first of which dropped around 2 years ago) has got the whole internet abuzz with anticipation over his debut LP, which has already falsely leaked.
Jai's a producer/vocalist who probably doesn't adhere to closely with any categorization. His looping, wonky tracks are incomparable to anything else I've heard.
He clearly knows how to work a crowd, because the hype train for this guy is surreal considering how little he's put out. Although, I'd have to argue he seems to have the Midas touch.

Jasmine is a 5* track in my eyes. And his cover of that 'Crush' pop song from the 90's is terrific.

I read up on his story thanks to this thread and it's crazy how much hype he has over 3 tracks like crazy!

I wish I could've gotten a hold of the leaked album/unreleased tracks. It's funny how his label was trying to cover it up and call it a fake when he secretly released them on his own.

Yeah, I don't quite know what the deal with that was either. I'm not sure if he was the one that leaked his own tracks. He was pretty quick to announce it was unofficial and move to get them taken down.

I can't remember the last time there was a debut LP that drew as much hype as this guy's created. It had better live up to it, which may be a very difficult task.

I remember slagging off Big Boi's last album as being absolutely terrible, which it was, but I heard this, the bonus track after. Why on earth they didn't include it on the actual album is a mystery to me.

His label forced him to quickly take down the tracks but some "investigators" did some digging around and found out that they were linked to him through his personal email that he uses or something along those lines.

When I first heard higher res in relation with the rest of the album. I remember skipping it to go to the next track Gossip which I enjoyed more at the time but listening to that track after playing Jasmine and the BTSTU demo over and over. I can appreciate it more now.
