Help Identifying music genre
I'm helping a friend get her music published in an album format and need help classifying the music. Me and her are very non-identifying individuals so it becomes difficult to listen and say exactly what type of genre the music belongs to.
The best description I can come up with is classical orchestal music fused with electronica which is why I'm here asking for help. She has four compositions on her website. She has a classical music background beginning with piano at the age of two and developed ambition for eletronic music growing up in europe, this influence is apparent in her pieces and is why I personally see it as a classic - electronic fussion. She is a very talented individual who doesn't fit a given category that I know, so I was hoping some of the more experienced music connoisseurs could assist me in labeling a genre, it would be a huge assistance. edit: search msRositsa on soundcloud Last edited by Bdygrd202; 04-08-2013 at 11:45 AM. She is making music and doesn't know what kind she is making?
Unless it's a groundbreaking new genre which I doubt... How does one even music without genre?

Electronic music has many sub genres. There is nothing saying you need to know your genre before producing music, plus such an approach would limit an artists creativity. The problem is outside of saying its electronica, it becomes difficult to label each pieces sub genre. Now that the tracks are becoming published it would be nice to have a clearer definition than just electronica.
