Hmmm, I think it depends from the song really, you can't decide before hearing the given piece of music. Sometimes the vocal makes the song and sometimes it ruins it. All depends.

To me it just depends on a track productions. Vocals definitely add to it, but a well produced track is a well produced track and can sound great with or without vocals.

It mostly depends on the song, but I prefer there be no singing!

Although, Raise Your Weapon? Deadmau5? Yeah, that song is kickass.

It´s different from track to track but I like when the vocals works as an "instrument", like it´s not the center of the track, like in The Knife´s music

When I first saw this poll I wanted to say that I love hearing vocals alongside a great electro beat, but then I remembered that some of my favorite tracks from the electronica god (siriusmo) are much better with just synths. It reminds me of classical pieces of music by some of the greats like Mozart, Chopin, etc., etc.

I prefer electronica with vocals but not with a lot of focus on lyrics or vocal melody.
Soft, breathy, repetitive vocalizations in the background are the best.

When done well, I love vocals, but they often sound somewhat cheesey or pretentious. But as a previous poster said, it depends on the piece of music and voices can both add to and detract from a piece.
