I thought I replied to this a long time ago but I guess not. Definitely prefer without, vocals tend to detract from the abstract quality I enjoy in my electronic music. That said, there's a lot of great electronic music with vocals and "vocals" can mean a lot of different things.

There are some genres that benefit a lot from the use of vocals, like euro trance or future garage - again, like @Janszoon said, "vocals" can mean a lot of different things.

I prefer both vocals and or just music. It depends on the production. If the vocals give it a certain style or feeling it may help the production. I also enjoy just the music. I like combining a variety of tracks together using both.

I like it when the song is mostly instrumental but has vocals at key parts of the song.

For me it depends on the track, some songs work well or are center around vocals where maybe another track Vocals can over complicate if not make you miss out on the crazy things they did with the production
