I don't mind his slower, more mellow tracks.
Sounds like he went a bit 'pop' on this. Born in the Cold/Humble Pie/To be Continued/Grime Wave - great. But I doubt they are like that. I need to get the album. But sounds like it's not better than last year's. Was always going to be tough to top that. I had wondered if it would live up to it after hearing the single with JME which was just OK. Not as good as the singles from G1. |

it's still an ok record, it's just like you mentioned, he had a huge record to follow up.

Trim is unique. More experimental, can be hit and miss but when he's good he is excellent. And he is great on sets too. Tweedle Dee Set Off Monkey Kanye West I Am Good tracks. |

Sets=DJ sets?
I listened to 1-800 Dinosaur Presents. Loved the ambient aspect of it. I wanna call it cloud grime.

DJ plays instrumentals and mixes them, MCs take turns to spit a bar, live music. That video I just posted above is a set.

Found it on the RYM charts. I'll check those two out for sure. I'm not opposed to grime, I just never get around to checking it out. Recs welcome.

You seem like you like more experimental stuff that's why I suggested those guys. https://terrordanjah.bandcamp.com/al...orph-2-hdb058d Good release. If you liked the Jorja Smith track with Preditah you should like this. The Undeniable album (1st one) is good too, as is Dark Crawler. Trim did a vocal of Dark Crawler it's on that album. All on that bandcamp link. |
