Yeah Boards of Canada really have some good stuff. I'm a big fan of Geogaddi and Music Has the Right..., really good albums. Their newest is good too, but I prefer the older stuff. I really like the way they make their actual recordings sound almost aged or vintage. It's a very interesting technique. Their album structures are pretty unique too, they always seem to have long songs with a short sort of spacer song in between each. Now, by spacer song, I don't mean pointless fill, just short songs around a minute. In fact, I find that sometimes these songs are some of the best in the albums. Good band! If anyone wants Geogaddi or Music Has the Right to Children, pm me and I'll get it to you. And if you haven't heard of them, you should check them out.

I just got Geogaddi yesterday and i really like it so far. It's such a great album to stick on a pair of headphones and lie back and listen to, it really takes you places. I've been getting into a lot of electronic stuff lately and one of my friends recommended that album to me. I'm gonna try and get their other albums now.

I really love Music Has the Right to Children.

Great laid back listening. It's very smooth electronic music that is consistently interesting. I have very little experience with Electronica and all it's sub-genres (though I'm becoming quite interested), but I would love to hear anything within the same vein as Boards of Canada.

Next time you're doing something that requires most of your attention but you want music on, give this album a shot.

I just bought the campfire headphase. I enjoy it, though not as much as I thought I would.

I have music has the right for children. I never liked ambient stuff but this felt more appealing

BoC.
my favorite band.
in my mind, everything they have ever put out is just perfect. In A Beautiful Place Out In The Country is quite possibly the best EP ever pressed to baby-blue vinyl. while the LP Music Has The Right To Children is gorgeous from beginning to end. an ESSENTIAL, must-have album.

may i suggest that the newcomers have a listen to the song "Everything You Do Is A Balloon" from the HiScores EP. it's one of my faves.
cheers!

My first post, and I think BoC deserve the honour.

I love them to bits, favourite album is MHTRTC but Geogaddi is a close second.
