I'm kinda on the fence about getting the new Chemical Brothers album. I might just check out a few songs now to see if i like.

EDIT: I listened to Swoon and Escape Velocity on youtube. Swoon is a bit meh, that main repetitive synth line gets on my nerves a bit. Escape Velocity is kinda cool though. It builds slowly at the start and then BAM! It turns into a classic beat-heavy Chemical Brothers tune. I might check out the album.

Lol, i'm guessing you're referring to the album Push The Button. 'Believe' was not made by Q-Tip, he had absolutely nothing to do with that song. That song was made and produced by The Chemical Brothers and features guest vocals from Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke. Q-Tip only did guest vocals on the song 'Galvanize' and in that song The Chemical Brothers wrote the lyrics and wrote and produced the music. So yes they do make their own music.

Anyhow, I'll probably get the new album at some point, even if I feel they're kinda passé...

Mp3s get tagged incorrectly quite a lot, including song names and even artist, by the looks of things the album you have was tagged pretty badly. This will give you a better idea of the album details
Push the Button (The Chemical Brothers album) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
I have the album on CD and in the booklet it shows exactly who does what. Many electronic artists like The Chemical Brothers feature guest vocalists or collaborators a lot of the time, but the music is always created and produced by the album artist, otherwise it would just be a Various Artists compilation.

Thanks for the complement on the avatar though

WOW! Did not even know a new Chemical Brothers album had been released... I've gotta look into that... they're not the most amazing band to ever cross my radar or anything, but their stuff is good and fairly entertaining, always makes for at least some fairly fun background party music... I pretty much enjoy their work... aside from that Salmon Dance song they did, which admittedly had to be a low point for them...

i consider them REQUIRED listening... though they have some naff songs for sure... they are easily one of the best live groups around now too... have seen them 2-3 times at a festival with 50k plus people watching them and always a super, super show....
