Agreed! Dig Your Own Hole = one great, easily accessible, good for people new to the genre of electronica album. Not only that it's just a really great album in its own right.
I've heard of them. But never listened to any of their music. Any album recs/personal favourites?
Dig Your Own Hole or Surrender from their late 90s heydays.... definitely their two best albums as far as I am concerned! Come With Us is pretty good too...
For singles it doesn't get much better than this song...even though I think it's already been linked in this thread...who cares...it's worth linking again and again ><
Chemical Brothers - Galvanize The album it appears on, Push The Button, is pretty decent as well as a whole. Also, as Scottsy said, Dig Your Own Whole is great. You've probably heard this song on that album, in some place or other, and maybe didn't know it was them: Chemical Brothers - Block Rockin' Beats Best place to start might be their Brotherhood double CD from last year though. The 1st disc is a greatest hits with all their really strong tracks, including the newer ones as well. |
I recoqnise Galvanize straight away. I dunno what from though, most likely an advert! I like them! Thank you! :D
I think I am going to have to at least listen to Dig Your Own Hole and Surrender soon... I'm totally missing their sound right now... Might even have to put Come With Us on my Mp3 player too... I still remember that as being a good quality listen, especially Star Guitar, really sweet little instrumental / minimal vocal track.

I've been listening to Brotherhood on spotify, they're much better than I originally thought they would be... :D
Here's a terrific song from their first album:
I've been listening to them on spotify, I recoqnise actual loads of their music, it's like faithless a band you don't know, but actually do! :)
Yeah, quite alot of their music has kinda filtered out into all sorts of settings, and into our heads, methinks! It's a good thing that all of it is actually quite good!
