I went to Mayhem Festival in 2010 and I did not even bother to stay for Korn's set. It didn't feel necessary. I had never seen them live prior to that and I was certainly not going to see them playing that ridiculous noise. I outgrew poppy little boy bands a long time ago, which may be the "90's numetal" bands you are referring to.
