Thanks to Mr. Hipster Skrillex, the comment section in this video has become a massive cluster**** of rage. Aphex Twin fans telling Skrillex fans to kill themselves, and Skrillex fans asking "Weres (sic) the drop". This is why popular folks should not link songs to fans via youtube.

Maybe mainstream in the United States. In the U.K., Benga and Skream brought it up and mainstreamed it. Now they even do a radio show on primetime hours, on Radio One. Skrillex is a late-comer, and a hack. He's the Justin Bieber, the Lil Wayne, the Lady Gaga of dubstep here in the U.S. In other words, very popular but nowhere near as talented as his predecessors or contemporaries.

And I must add, again, he has taken others' music and uses it as his own, and doesn't credit the original artist in any way. Example: DJ Shadow's "Organ Donor" on "Amplifire". So he's going to play DJ Shadow's song, unedited, not remixed at all, then at the end, he's going to throw some DJing in, with some wobbles, and call it his song, and not reference the original artist anywhere?

I downloaded his discography and it was the third song I heard.



Whats worse is that Diplo is involved. I thought better of Diplo before this.

Edit: Although the version I had didn't have anything over Organ Donor. This version, at least, towards the END of the sample, starts remixing it, before dropping the DJ Shadow track and doing it's own thing. I just don't understand why they can't credit Shadow. Other artists sample and credit, example:

Bassnectar's newest album has a track called Gogol Bordello - Immigraniada [Bassnectar remix]. Because it's a Gogol Bordello song, remixed by Bassnectar. Additionally, Bassnectar doesn't just play the Gogol Bordello song, pause it, play some wobbles and breaks, and then hit play on Gogol again, and so on, he ACTUALLY remixed it.



I wouldn't have a problem with the Amplifire tune if it wasn't for the blatant, misleading nature. Why wasn't it called "DJ Shadow - Organ Donor (Skrillex and Diplo remix)? But then again, it wasn't a remix, really. They just shoved a minute+ worth of DJ Shadow's song into the beginning of their song and called it theirs.
