I think hes got real good energy.... he has gone more commercial which is why i think people are hating on him because people that dont like him are hearin him mainstream far too much... yay for me tho

Hipsters are the epitome of contradictory. The ideology of the subculture collapses on itself.

"I listened to dubstep before it was cool".

Nothing contradictory in that quote.

You don't see how you're contradicting yourself?

you essentially said "I don't like Skrillex because he is the most popular dubstep artist"

Then you depict Hipster subculture with the quote "I listened to dubstep before it was cool".

I love that it seems like Sonny Moore hasn't really changed personality-wise, and he's doing what he has wanted to do. I remember when he quit From First to Last, I was heartbroken, but now I can still enjoy his music, it's just a different genre. I haven't listened to him toooooo too much, but I like what I've heard. And I'm glad he's popular and that won't keep me from liking him.

I have to say NAY. I am waiting to hear what Daft Punk come up with for Dubstep.

Skrillex put out some of the best dubstep there is (Cinema), but he is f*cking god awful live if you've ever seen him

Idk he sounded pretty good in live recordings and videos. Sounds like fun. I mean, I've never been to those types of shows, so I wouldn't know necessarily what it's "supposed" to sound like.

Mainstream

Personally, I love his music, when I first heard it, It was kinda a mix of :hphones: and :shycouch:
The problem is, people these days have made it way too mainstream, and it kinda makes the genre feel a bit less special.
Still, Skrillex is a yay.

He uses automated ableton and just tweaks effects live. NNAYYYYYYYYYYY FAKE DJ

Nay.

I still give dubstep a listen every now and then, but it wears off eventually. Drops began to sound the same time after time. Skrillex seems to have the SAME EXACT DROP in each of his new songs. I still dig a bit of his old stuff, however.
