Those elements get annoying pretty fast not to mention the vocals. I'm not a fan of pop music. I could see females like this stuff

I am addicted to this kind of music, and it's too bad Black Marble peaced out, because I would have followed this thread to the bitter end. In any case, I can't even attempt to pick it back up. It's too far gone. However, if anyone is around and active in the forum that wants to talk about Romanian music, I'm your girl. It's just, so, sexy.

Sorry for the double post, but I am about to do a little necromancy.
This song surfaced on the Turkish pop/dance/house radio station I listen to today. Not surprised to find its Akcent! Totally trashy, but totally club ready. I'm down. The version I heard was definitely longer, though. Love the underlying manele beat. By the way, in response to earlier posts about "how is this noteworthy" and "why does this have its own thread"? Omg, it is so obvious. If you like club music, it is so easy to identify a Romanian-made track. I'm not an expert in the ways of what makes music fall into any genre or why one song is different from another, but you can just tell; there is always an electronic, Eastern European-sounding horn, accordion, dulcimer, or other folk instrument blended in with the main beat. Edward Maya kinda takes the cake on this one with the trendy accordion thing we heard so much in 2010-2011, but now it's commonplace. All of the house music Romanian is producing has it nowadays, and it's catchy and fun to dance to at clubs. Super popular in Greece, Turkey, Serbia, and other countries around the region. It is definitely a genre. Other typical elements -really, really stupid lyrics that often do not rhyme in real English -terrible pronunciation -a myriad of half-naked girls in every video -avant garde style in terms of fashion and music -dudes on boats -generally overproduced, all the time and in every way And I love it! Is that Adrian Sina character a member of Akcent now or something? He has exactly the same voice and funny lyrics. My Passion = classic. I love Akcent anyway but My Passion is great, I think it's from 2011 or 2012?
I had never heard "Feeling," and wow, it's quite beautiful actually. If you like those artists you might try Mattyas? I love "Secret Love." Song is partially in Greek but he is Romanian as far as I know! Also Sasha Lopez, can't say he's Romanian but his music fits the description: Also, is there a man on Earth who has NOT watched that video? ha! I love that you're here! Thanks for posting! |

For reals? Hahah. I guess that was a really dumb question then, haha.
Yeah no prob. I really wish the original dudes doing this thread we resurface and come back to chill with us. Until then I'll just be trolling the Romanian top 40 looking for something new. How did you get into Romanian stuff by the way? |
