I Am Spoonbender
I'm not normally a fan of electronica or electronic music(I ADORE the usage of electronic instruments in music but generally not how it's applied). But, on a whim, knowing that one of the Residents was involved, I looked into a project called 'I am Spoonbender'.
Now, I really like them. Not like amazingly. They're hit, and miss, but of the album I got, wasn't bad. Some songs I feel are a tad repetitive, but still, brilliant stuff:

I am also a fan of the Residents and I hadn't heard of this band, so I decided to give them a listen. Unfortunately, they didn't do anything for me musically (at least this particular song, anyway.)
I'll have to check out some more of their work. And on a different note... anyone who can manage to incorporate Sun Ra, The Residents, and Edgard Varese into a single post, is all right in my book! |

As for "I am Spoonbender" I wouldn't consider them more slightly experimental electronic, more like a significantly less ****ty Angelspit. Very little sonic relation to the Residents, just more how I found them.
