Bassnectar
 

Lorin Ashton, AKA Bassnectar, is an incredibly gifted dubstep/electronic dj based out of Santa Cruz, CA. Dude puts on one hell of a show, frequently drawing huge crowds at massive raves throughout California, Denver, Boulder, Texas, and the Pacific Northwest. I'm not a fanatic but I've been digging Mesmerizing the Ultra for the last couple weeks, and I'm wondering if MB has any bassnectar lurkers.

I love him. I'm not much into listening to him in my free time, but I will go to any show of his that I can reasonably attend. I saw him in Chicago last Summer. His computer crashed about a quarter way into the show and so he had to bust out his "backup" which only had new stuff on it. So basically we got to hear his new material before anyone else...I thought that was cool.

Nice, where did you see him at in Chicago? I'm hopefully seeing him at Red Rocks this fall with Ghostland Observatory and Emancipator with a few friends from boulder/denver.

I saw him at the Hard Rock downtown.

Damn...Bassnectar at Red Rocks would be pretty epic. If I had the money, I would make the road trip there just to see it.

He's all right. I'm really not that big of a dubstep fan, but he's actually not that bad. My friend looooves him, so she's always like ZOMGZ LISTEN 2 DIS so I do. Better than most [dubstep] I've heard.

Timestetch is pretty good. Basshead is always my benchmark for bass when I buy new headphones haha

Bassnectar is awesome. My boy got to open up for him last year.

He's cool, I'd like to see him live. That would be tight.

I like to jamout to some Bassnectar while I'm smoking the ganja. My girlfriend kinda got me into them. =P
