That just made me eargasm.
Flux Pavilion I've particularly got into him, so I'll recommend some of my favourite tracks and remixes by him I like the soft vocals leading up to a smashing drop and wild wobble. He seems to take a harmony and smash it into pieces with dub step while still preserving the house part of it. He's doing pretty well for himself getting sampled and remixed by other artists as well. Info from Wiki: Joshua Steele, known professionally as Flux Pavilion, is an English dubstep producer and DJ.[1] He is the co-founder of Circus Records, along with Doctor P and DJ Swan-E. Along with Doctor P, Flux Pavilion presented the 2011 compilation album Circus One, to which he contributed four tracks. |
It's Dubstep-ish |

I happened upon this, which is really cool stuff. Definitely different to a lot of the other stuff coming out. |
This was epic and I had to share. Some have heard of sound guns, the possible future of weaponry. Now, imagine if they used dubstep in the sound gun.
I thought "This would be cool as just a song". Well, the song(s) are out there, actually. This is one in the middle: On an unrelated related note, imagine if your car security system killed carjackers by locking them in, cranking dubstep to 11 and making them have aneuryisms... You don't have to imagine, here's the Son of Kick video for "Playing the Villain" |
I actually linked klaypex earlier. It's really good stuff. Didya get their free ep?
|
I thought I'd seen that album art earlier. No, not yet. But I probably will.
|
It's worth it, after all it's free!

Although I like that Psystep preview better than any of the recent brostep that has been posted. Could be interesting to hear...might as well be optimistic |

also this. Tried posting it before but could only find the DJ set mix, which was god awful :( |
Like Ott threw dubstep into his latest album, Mir.
Typical Ott, typical Ott (very nice) and then dubstep wobbles halfway through til the end... I liked it. They only did it on a couple tracks, and it went over very well with me. But he'll always be psybient. |

I'm loving the new Skrillex single. Christina Grimmie does a awesome dance to it haha.
A cool tracks by Knife Party: Karton: Modestep |
Good hip hop/dubstep combo (produced by Nosaj Thing). |
Does anybody still like actual 2-step Garage + Dub?
|
|
I'm looking for the grimiest, bro-ey-ist, nastiest dubstep out there. I want ridiculous drops that are far too dramatic and frequent. I want it to sound like amelodic horse****. I want it to sound as though a 14 year old with garage band made it after bingeing on skrillex for a week.
Anyone got anything? |
Here's one that made my ears bleed, I'm not going to find anymore for you it's horrible.

Most of this thread is composed of bad recommendations. Maybe the title should be changed to simply 'Dubstep Recommendations' so I can hear something new that's actually good? |

Didn't you know? Engine's own ears were a gift from the gods, his taste in music is impeccable and his opinion is law.
|
I had no idea, I can't believe I've been so ignorant to his perfect opinions!
 |

Being graced with these ears comes with knowledge that allowing them to succumb to bad dubstep will damn my soul to an eternity of oppression and hellfire. Now just relax while I wash your feet. |
I have a half hour mix from Afghan Headspin that has Electro and Dubstep in a delightful mix and this is one of the tracks from it. I really like the old school dance vibe with dubstep thrown in:

:bonkhead: knife party was the future of this genre for me.. |

Don't worry, we don't all listen to that brosteppy stank. |

Here's some more real shit for the Sticky thread FUCKAZ |

Holy mackeral, I love this forum.....liquid stranger! I just posted earlier but I've already found some vague answers along the lines right here. Funny I always wrote dubstep off for being a bit random and tuneless when the term first hit me but now having discovered some of the 'right' artists I'm beginning to feel the vibe :D ...Thanks folks

Me and my electronica recommendations. Want some?

Here is some minimalistic dubstep first off: Plastician Chris Reed, also known as Plastician (formerly Plasticman), is a Dubstep, Grime DJ from Thornton Heath in the London Borough of Croydon. Mt Eden Dubstep <-New Zealand represent!!! Mt Eden (formerly Mt Eden Dubstep) is a New Zealand Dubstep production duo consisting of Jesse Cooper and Harley Rayner. Truth <-New Zealand represent!!! Sonic architects of songs with an emotional heft as heavy as the subwoofer rupturing basslines that underpin their work, Truth are one of New Zealand's finest creative exports. Respected across the globe, since inception several years ago, Truth (Andre Fernandez and Tristan Roake) have, as both world-class producers and party-rocking DJs, cut a clear pathway through the international dubstep scene. |

Anyone mentioned the new Mala & Submotion Orchestra albums? They are both excellent and offer a different side of dubstep with none of the crappy American 'brostep' that's so popular right now

It's just not to my taste anymore, but I'm trying to keep an open mind by asking for recs. |
I highly advise everyone to listen to Vanilla. Great recommendations.
