Techno
There are many threads in this forum dedicated to "Techno". But not REAL Techno. Kind of ironic in a way! But anywho, I'm a fan. It took awhile, but I just was having a hard time finding what I liked. I guess I listen to and enjoy "Minimal Techno".
There's gotta be some kind of fans on here. Maybe not of the kind I like, but at least of SOME kind of Techno. |

the sad part is now that my knowledge of electronic music has expanded most of what I used to think was techno was just trance and house. That's mostly what is in my music collection.
I don't think I have any real Techno.

A lot of the electronic music I listen to has some Techno influence, but I don't listen to straight up Techno.
As far as why a lot of people refer to electronic music as Techno, I have no idea. It's probably the result of a combination of ill-advised marketing and ignorance. |
