They are partly electronic, but definitely not electronica.
They are not rock or electronica, it all depends on the album and even the song sometimes. You could just call them post-post-industrial or something.

Is there a thread for random music questions like this already? I know there is the "ask for recommendations thread", but if there isn't a random ass question thread we need one. This seems like a horrible waste of space.

Or in this case, the question should be posted in the thread for the artist that it's relating to, as it's not a general question.

When they first came out People were classing them as Industrial along side Ministry. I always thought they were rock with an electronic edge and things like Front 242 & Nitzer Ebb I was classing at Industrial (this is of course before everyone started calling those two bands EBM).
