Mix/Remix Appreciation Thread
We've all heard stuff like Justice's D.A.N.C.E and Crookers remixing Kid Cudi, but let's take a look at some real mixes... here's some bomb one's to start off. Keep on posting and keep em sick. =)

Sorry for the double-post but I had more. Here are some really old fav's of mine, this stuff isn't so great but it still deserves props. More hipsterish. Enjoy.

Agree, there's sooooo many I could post here...here's a recent one though. Bootek re-doing Prodigy's Warriors Dance. The old vocal sample in that song is the best part I think, but it's used so sparingly that it's almost aggravating. This remix makes more use of them, which is pretty tight I think.

I am a big Lamb fan but the Remix is better than the original.
At around 4:20 is seriously good.

Bimbo Jones remixes are solely responsible for making Pink a guilty pleasure of mine. Sirius BPM station would play his versions of her all the time, and eventually I fell in love. Basically all he does is take songs and make them feel more bouncy...simple but effective. Here's his version of Rainy Monday from Shiny Toy Guns:
Here's his remix of Pink's U + Ur Hand as well. Love this one. |

Sigh. If only everything was already up on YouTube, it would be a lot easier to participate in these threads.
