When I first heard that this track had been remixed, I automatically thought FAIL. I was wrong, very wrong, Tom Middleton’s remix of Orbital – Halcyon is amazing. The way he keeps the tone of the original but builds on it with the synths etc just adds up to an essential track and one that wouldn’t be out of its depth in any music collection.
Holy freakin jeez man, that's so good. The original is easily one of my favorite songs ever, and you're right, that remix is great too. Probably never woulda heard that either if not for MB...that's why these boards rock.
