Oh man I love me a bit of clark. His beats are just so hard and heavy. If you like his stuff I think you might want to check out DataChi, quite similar IMHO.

Has a nice Underworld vibe about it. It is a couple of years old but only just came across the band.

Love, love, love this release. So dreamy. I do understand the Burial comparisons, but I think Sven's sound is a bit more clear and upbeat. Burial's stuff, on the other hand, is dark and hazy. I can't wait till he has new stuff out.

Raust I came in here with the intention to cite the head candy I am listening to now: Le Secret Farida, by Yello, which I supremely recommend, if you like dark ambiance. and then I saw that you are interested in my favourite sound: dark ambient I will list my favourite artists and tracks, and then albums. (sorry, I can't use YouTube in China. I wish I could send you some links.) ![]() [Favourite tracks: -Deathprod: Deerstalker, Dora 3, Nebuliser, Tron, Cloudchamber I discuss Deathprod more clearly in the Avant Garde thread.) -Biosphere: Translation, Deviation ![]() ![]() [U] -Porter Ricks: Biokinetics 2 (Biokinetics) -Pete Namlook: Subconscious Worlds (xxi Subconscious Worlds) ![]() -Radiohead: Pulk/pull Revolving Doors(Amnesiac) Jon Hassel & Brian Eno: Rising Thermal 14° 16' N; 32° 28' E, Delta Rain Dream (Fourth World, volume 1-Possible Musics) -Pete Namlook & Bill Laswell: From the Earth to the Ceiling---10, 11, 12{last three tracks only] (Outland) ![]() -Brian Eno: Black Planet, Suspended Motion, The Water Garden ![]() Favourite albums----------- Biosphere & Deathprod: Nordheim Transformed ![]() Brian Eno: Ambient 4--On Land; Apollo-Atmospheres and Soundtracks; Equatorial Stars (with Robert Fripp) Pete Namlook & Tetsuo Inoe: Invisible Landscape ![]() Pete Namlook & Bill Laswell: African Virus-Electric Sonata with a Cold, Loved by Nature: Track 2 only ![]() Pete Namlook: Organic Life (Listen to this after you have acquired a savoury taste of dark ambiance) ![]() As I already mentioned, I cannot access YouTube to give you a link, but, if you want to hear music that will recalibrate your musical standard of 'good' then find the music I posted. Most of it is dark, some of it is very dark, almost sinister. One thing is for certain: all these artists are virtuosos. Enjoy! P.S. If you want some 'light' ambience suggestions, I will post that, too. Last edited by Schranz bass; 03-02-2011 at 09:25 PM. Reason: Added another track |
