I think ya have to be all over the trance/rave thing to really appreciate trance, house, dubstep, or any of the sub genres. Some peeps can really chill with AvB or Tiesto or even Corsten's "Once upon a Night" and I'm like, dude!
Goa totally kicks. Melicia's "Massive Trance" or Infected Mushroom. I can even get into glitch but hard intro Ghosts n Stuff was the only track that I listened to twice. Did i mention that i love the Deadmau helmet? =D |

Aaaa, Goa's my favorite genre for sure. Maybe. LOL. Ewww, Tiesto. The only good song by him is When She Left. Never heard anything memorable at all besides that song. Anyway, to stay on topic, I really don't like his helmet. IDK, but Buckethead pulls it off better. :p Also, he's almost considered a furry icon...-shudder-. |

@ Redfe. LOL at the furry icon! The helmet could definitely use some upgrades. And i think you're right. Goa's the most creative genre. I noticed that AvB's getting a little more creative with the newer episodes of ASOT. I'm hoping Deadmau5 will evolve too. Last edited by Laser; 05-25-2011 at 11:30 AM. |

I like how there can be so many layers in a Goa song. In house there's usually only 1 layer with sound effects, it seems. Such as Deadmau5's Ghosts n Stuff. Of course I've heard more, but that's just my example.
[There should probably be a thread discussing Goa sometime soon] It's true, his helmet is just...I'unno. I don't like it. Also, is it just me, or do others get pissed off when people call him a "trance DJ"? |

I'm kinda stressed for time right now but if you start a Goa thread, I'll definitely jump in. Goa is my favorite electronic genre. About the helmet. It's too round, too simple, and looks too much like Micky Mouse, lol! If he wants to keep a deadmouse thing, he should probly make it look more like a metal, alien mouse with a lot more detail. |
