As we are dealing with strictly Electronic songs then there are a whole bunch that always get a good respons when dropped or are classics:
Classic 80's tune that I love to bits: One of the finest Trance tunes ever, the breakdown is a classic: I went to see them a couple of years back and when they played this the place went fucking bananas: Prodigy. Nuff said. What a bassline Plenty more if you so desire.

Motorcycle - As the Rush Comes.. such a shame Gabriel & Dresden broke up with this much talent between the two of them. They're from the US nonetheless! Makes me proud hehe ATB - 9 P.M. (Til I Come).. this was a huge song when it came out. Of course I don't live in a country that embraces electronic music so I didn't know about it until 2 years after it came out. Hybrid - Finished Symphony.. an amazing song utilizing the entire Russian Federal Orchestra. Progressive trance (or possibly breaks) + classical? AMAZING BT - Dreaming.. such an absolute tune. Dark, amazing vocals, and most importantly it is so unconventional. Breaks, arbitrary sounds like doors opening, some acid riffs, some classical riffs, just everything you could imagine in one song. Armin van Buuren - Communication.. just a classic trance tune! Complete with an amazing piano melody and arpeggio it defined the commercial trance era Tiesto - Traffic.. one of the first ever tech trance tunes of all time! |

There has always been the debate as to whether that ATB song actually says ' do you like cock' instead of 'till I come'. A tune that was huge but not one of my faves. Props for Hybrid though!

What exactly are the criteria for "most legendary"?
Are we allowed to post stuff other than pre-fab radio pop electronic music? I'm totally not getting that feeling, what with most of the mentions here. No offense. Just a little confused.

like say.. adagio for strings, zombie nation. (these are only examples of trance sorry!) but the same kind of tunes throughout the electronica genre. as i would like to explore more into different sub-genres. getting my drift ?

Y'know... I think you might be surprised at the amount of absolutely amazing electronic music that's out there and is largely unheard of by the mainstream audience. I can understand you liking a specific type of sound, but if you want to explore the world of electronic music and be pleasantly surprised, I think you gotta dive a little deeper than you're diving. Not passing judgment here, just saying that there's a very meaningful existence of stylistic expression you'd never hear on the radio because it simply takes too much head and too much heart for the masses to easily accept. I think that kind of music, the stuff that you gotta work for and discover, that's the stuff that really ends up meaning more to you in the long run.
