Latest listen. Quite smooth but still delightful:

I'm in absolute love with this thread

Anyways, as a little contribution, here's a bit of Andreya Triana. Gorgeous voice and great production by Bonobo (another great trip-hop artist. I'd really recommend checking him out if you've never heard of him) .

And since I mentioned Bonobo, here's something from his latest album.

I REALLY like the Saltillo album. Are there other albums that are similar?

I have the Sunday Munich albums, and they're nice, but I prefer the Saltillo album.

The strings and the hip-hop beats make a really good sound.

Sounds like a Tricky Rip off- well he does guest on this track. A definite highlight of an otherwise average late 90's Trip Hop album. Bonus points for knowing the background track

Dutch - A Bright Cold Day (2010)

In case anyone is looking for a new trip hop album, I would highly recommend this one. It is a bit more "old school" in regards to the fact that it features a full band ensemble like Portishead, yet featuring female vocals and some very hypnotic beats. The group is composed of Liz Fullerton on vocals and Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind (of Jedi Mind Tricks fame) and if anyone is familiar with JMT then this creates a very nice contrast from Stoupe's more popular beats.

Anyway it's been awhile since this thread has been updated so I figured if anyone is looking for some new trip hop, this is definitely an album to look at.
