There are elements of Progressive in there and it's not strictly a breakbeat mix. I guess I look for vocal work too and sometimes a completely left field track dropped into the mix. I like Stanton Warriors and DJ Format mixes too.

I'm listening to that Chris Carter mix and it's still not doing a lot for me. Although I am digressing I do like Chill and funky house but don't have nowhere near enough of it. Got any recommendations?

Hey Jackhammer..
You ever heard this mix: Loki - Tricked Out (volume 2)?

You would love it.
The breaks are so dirty and mean. And I think he used some D&B tracks and slowed them down to Breakbeat tempo, so it's extra dirty. Your mother wouldn't be able to wash them breaks off presentably.

If you're interested, I can upload.

i cant believe i forgot to mention someone...or some ones i should say... Jackal and hyde....now thats dark and dirty...

I checked out that Chris Carter mix as well and it wasn't really the type of breaks i'm interested in...I have a friend that only spins UK breaks and I have to say, the difference in sound between those and the ones I'm used to from Florida is huge. UK is very progressive sounding in general... I miss the Masquerade days :P

Saw Jackal & Hyde live several times.. they never disappoint. One of my first records bought from a shop when I first started the DJing thing was Jackal & Hyde - Angel Ass.

Im trying to get in to a little breakbeat. Been listening to D&B for years but trying to broaden my horizons as far as DJing goes.
