I disagree...he may well be influenced by jazz and hip-hop but the end result is electronic music. Not just because he's creating it with electronic equipment. DJ Shadow retains more of a hip-hop beat and warmth throughout his material, so I would tend to classify him as hip-hop before I would Flying Lotus - who is far more mechanical and into electronic trickery.
