Fuck it - let him stream it or pay up.
Anyway, I'm unsure about the new one. I like it but I don't find myself listening to it very often - for sure it didn't start a temporary obsession which is generally how I can tell if I love an album or not.

Seriously, you would have to like 'abstract electronic' music to really enjoy Cosmogramma. I'm not saying that you should bother listening to it much if you don't. But there's definitely love in it.

what is your favorite track? i would rate most of it above average, but there is nothing that piques my interest. so many of the songs are little ditties that peak immediately then repeat.

I can totally understand where your coming from as the album is really quite 'abstract' compared to much of his other music. It's got a lot of short, meandering tracks and not a whole lot of beats. I had problems getting into it myself for a while. I liked it immediately but after a few listens I just kind of never put it on again. But recently I've been listening to it a lot and so here's my response to you: I began to think of it as more of a 70s Jazz fusion album - or maybe Krautrock even. I also only listen to the album straight through, never single songs. It made a lot more sense to me after that. My favorite of the rare groove-based tracks is this: Do the Astral Plane But my favorite track is probably this: Dance of the Pseudo Nymph |

Honestly, the genres are blending...
It seems that the genres are blending when it comes to electronica and hip hop. Honestly, its a beautiful meeting I do believe. FlyLo is a perfect example of this.
