Yeah Above & Beyond have always been realllly good. ATB is good too and is part of why I like trance now. Lately he seems to be combining a lot of different styles. His most recent album has an entire CD dedicated to ambient, but he's been into that for awhile. Paul van Dyk has gotten a bit house-y but nonetheless enjoyable. Sasha has gone realllly progressive, a bit too much for my liking. He was amazing back in the commercial trance era, and Markus Schulz is still amazing. My only issue is that his stuff can be a bit underwhelming sometimes. I don't mean to reply to every artist haha.. just very very bored and trying to waste time.

Bump! Just wanted to update everyone and tell you there's a label called Fools Forest who releases ALL their music for free. They range from experimental to hard tech and everything in between. Check it out:

So would Carbon Based Lifeforms, Shpongle, Infected Mushroom, and Hallucinogen all be considered Psytrance? Reading through this thread it looks like the best way to tell the difference is the feel of the music, like how fast, heavy, and upbeat/mellow/just trippy or whatever. And to me, Shpongle and Infected Mushroom are a lot faster and have a much more upbeat feel to them, whereas CBL is much simpler, more repetitive, and slower, good background music. I really like all four of these bands, but that's about my extent of knowledge in electronica excluding electro type bands and stuff like The Postal Service.
