Default Flunk

imagine a downtempo/trip-hop sound with medium-paced, happy beats. not quite something you can dance to, but no lazy lounge crap. stir in a funky sample here and there. now mix in a bit of acoustic guitar on every other track, and add a lead vocalist that sounds exactly like Bjork.

that's Flunk.

three main studio albums - For Sleepheads Only, Morning Star, and Personal Stereo. plus several remix albums, which i have not checked out yet.

it's a unique sound. strangely the reviews i read are pretty damaging, but i didn't find a bad track on the three albums i mentioned. really worth checking out if you enjoy stuff like Zero 7, Hooverphonic, Soulstice, Bjork, etc.

oh, and they have a track called Kebab Shop 3am. how cool is that?
