Orchestral Tape Studies by 扎克
https://pitp.bandcamp.com/album/orchestral-tape-studies I found this one to be especially brainmassagy |
Jérôme Chassagnard - Wind

Methysmerna - Kanigos Emerge (2020)
https://i.ibb.co/4d7L2Jq/kani-small.png https://methysmerna.bandcamp.com/album/kanigos-emerge An ambient/dreamwave album with some cyberpunk aesthetic elements. The whole album has a relaxing hazy atmosphere, synths mixed with sounds in a very nice continuous flow. |
María Sabina Cubensis by Nacht Plank

The Unfolding Dawn by Max Corbacho
https://maxcorbacho.bandcamp.com/alb...unfolding-dawn 2020 release / pure synthesizer stuff - swelling sounds This guy has earned his name recognition and this a good release but I don’t think it’s going to recruit many new listeners. To say it’s been done before is understatement but it still should be an enjoyable listen to people like myself who are fans of the genre. If you want something chill and coherent for a peaceful hour this fine. |

Even with new jazz releases of it’s the same old format I’m more inclined to pass unless it’s a name I’m really enthusiastic about. Also, with jazz. Recently I’m drawn to solo works. |
TYCHO
is good ambient band |
I’m doing a Robert Rich marathon.

See you in 2021

Playlist with his beat oriented stuff meticulously removed (15 hours) |

I have most of his catalog - 63 releases totaling 72 discs of content, along with the Premonitions 1980-1985 vinyl box set exploring his earliest work produced while he was still at university. If you recommend any other particular entries from his catalog - preferably beatless, I'm all ears. https://i.imgur.com/riZ5YXkl.jpg |

I had to go through the albums song by song. I really don’t know his catalog that well despite spending a lot of time with his music. I fell asleep earlier with it in my headphones and it felt like the deepest sleep.I exercised for the first time in a quite a while this morning too and stayed up late chatting with elph on discord last night. |

I’ve been holding onto a draft of a post inquiring about more non-sequencer based, beatless ambient minimal tone poems such as Indo-Tibetan music for meditation, generative soundscapes, etc. which I haven’t finalized just yet, but I’m definitely interested in expanding my library of sleep music. Larger collections of the genre I’ve compiled so far include:
Which reminds me that I still need to grab a copy of Steve Roach’s new LP. Once I flesh out the draft I’ll have to remember to tag you - your input would be of paramount value. |

I'm heading off to bed presently but will check back tomorrow night in case there are any others. Cheers! |
Paul Horn's album Inside The Taj Mahal is like my #1 sleep album. There's something unearthly about it that turns my brain into driftwood as I fall away. Anything by Robin Guthrie & Harold Budd does the trick too.
