aarrgghhh (electronic, ambient, indie, pop, trance)

ok so i thought what i was getting into was electronic but this being the newest genre to me.... turns out the things i like have been more indie pop with some electro thrown in like mgmt (which after only a weeks worth am tired of), lcd soundsystem... would you agree?

now on the other hand deadmau5 i am liking and i usually dont. they and benny were the first two i came across in my search. what do you call them? wth is idm, trance, ambient? where does deadmau5 or benny benassi fall in that?

laymans terms here please...
