But to more seriously answer your question, ask it in the classical music section, it sounds like several things off the top of my head.

Okay, listen closely to what I'm about to say... and play.
You're a fellow human being, with different tastes and predilections but... You have ears. (I assume) No offense to anyone missing an ear. Listen to this: Daft Punk-Homework-Alive - YouTube Now, listen to that: Daft Punk - Get Lucky (Feat. Pharrell Williams) - YouTube I mean, cmon, redoing euro-disco, with Pharrell Williams?? Sounds like pop Kanye West BS. I dunno, I just expected so much after....I dunno. I love disco, I love Michael Jackson, but...no. Just didn't work for me. And, it was hyped so much. I mean... *cries hoarsely* |

I wouldn't call it a terrible album at all, though that's my personal opinion. I'm curious as to what your favorite DP songs are? |

'EXTREMELY varied'. Ha. Well, maybe, how old are you?
I've been listening to music since I was inside my mom's womb. As I stated before, my preference is for the hard PUNK part of Daft Punk. (though I did enjoy Discovery, even Human After All as well.) Favorite, as stated before: Rough and Dirty. Pump dat shyt!! Edit: also, who called it a 'terrible album'? Please don't put words in my mouth. We all are free to be who we want to be. Let's you be you and me be me. "We wanna be free! We wanna be free to do what we wanna do. We wanna be free to ride. We wanna be free to ride our machines without being hassled by The Man! ... And we wanna get loaded. And we wanna have a good time. And that's what we are gonna do. We are gonna have a good time..." If 'none of the songs on RAM sounded at all like Daft Punk'... then why buy the fvckin thing? It's not THAT bad of an album, just... from all the hoopla surrounding it, I felt entitled to express an opinion. cheers, mate! Good musicians evolve, I get that. Just not diggin the direction...Pharrell Williams, ffs. It's turning into a pop act. . . . . . . . Last edited by DoesntReallyMatter; 02-21-2014 at 08:13 PM. |

When were Daft Punk ever Punk?
I love most of their stuff, but Homework and Discovery are still my favorites. I've still listened to RAM to death. It's one of my favorites of the past few years.
