Yes, the album is selling well and the single is absolutely massive. The exposure is there. I'm not sure the critical acclaim is though. It's hit and miss at best. All I heard from the point in time it was released through to when I listened to it was really, strongly negative reviews from both the press and people I know.

Some people like it, some people don't. I think it's rather arrogant to suggest that those who do like it will eventually snap out of it and come to their senses.

Actually, it's universally acclaimed by most critics.

I see your knowledge, honestly, but it's certainly no hit or miss. More hits out of the park then misses.

Love the new single, I wanna hear the album so bad. I reserved a copy from my library but I'm like 43rd in line.
=(

Two words: illegal downloading.

I love the album and the new organic sound, better than the straight electronic stuff that I've never been able to get completely into. I'm also glad that this forces a lot of kids out there who like Daft Punk to listen to a throwback to a kind of music they may have never listened to if not for this record (including myself to some degree)!

This is so true. Every such comparatively niche genre of music needs such chart topper singles/albums/artists to keep the genre mainstream and alive to a certain degree. I was never into such music until I heard their single 'instant crush' (which btw IMO is a far better song than the over hyped 'get lucky').

And the album is definitely a big hit. I mean just listen to 'fragments of time"... just listen to itttt!!!

I actually went out of my way to buy the CD. I never do that with music now.

We're up all night to get lucky, we're up all night to get lucky!

It's been a little while since it's release and I still find it more enjoyable with each listen. Within and Instant Crush are my two favorite tracks right now, the transition between the two is fantastic. The album as a whole could not have been mixed better.

I like them. I have the full album and have listened to about 85% of it and thus far I'm satisfied. Of course I enjoy their first single "Get Lucky", which drew me to obtain the album.

Not a big fan,the idea with the robo costumes is good though.Finding them a bit annoying, just my opinion.
