I totally Agree.
But Daft Punk is like the marijuana of electronic music. At least they got me more into the genre and I was able to find lesser-known artists and bands that I now prefer over Daft Punk. I still have them on party playlists though.

i think the point of daft punk is they don't pigeon hole into one/two genres... post dance i used to call them to take the piss out of genres...
