Music suggestions for a club
Hi everyone,
I run a club in Oslo, Norway, and I´m currently working on renewing our music library. We have a deal with a distributing company to provide us with what we ask, but there´s the problem, I need so much music I can´t name 1 tenth of it by name. What we are looking for is chill electronica for the daytime, in the same genre as Hed Kandi - Beach House etc, upbeat, relaxing in the sun kinda music. When the night comes creeping we turn up the volume to more party music, but not hardcore house/trance. Clubbers guide, Justice etc and house with a funky beat is the keyword. I love music, and have quite a selection myself, but from experience i have learned that the best way to find new and good music is from others with the same interest. Hope as many as possible can com up with ideas. Thanks alot Last edited by LLounge; 04-13-2008 at 10:06 AM. |

This is from the Chill House compilations from Cafe Del Mar and it fits your daytime criteria. Another great track from a Balearic classic: Afterlife-Simplicity Two Thousand.

Thievery Corporation "The Richest man in babylon" "DJ Kicks" Tosca "Suzuki" Massive Attack V Mad Professor "No Protection" For night if you want some funky beats you can go past some Nu School Breaks, Try some Stanton Warriors, Plump DJ's or Krafty Kuts Mix CD's Or try something like MSTRCRFT or The Presets YouTube - The Presets - My People Last edited by SubPop; 05-06-2008 at 09:13 AM. |

The Om Lounge compilations are a few years old but they still stand up really good. I could see that stuff being piped into a nice trendy type of club or bar. Better than your average chill lounge type stuff.
