saw em in concert at the black cat and they totally rocked the place. i would say more of my friends like this band than any other band, which is odd for me, because most of the bands I dig my friends don't like.

love these guys. I love how the production isn't really great but the tracks are still powerful as hell. Actually i think they bury their drums in 10 layers of guitar on purpose tho

There should be seriously more love for M83

saturdays=youth is one of the most thoroughly overrated albums of the year. granted, about half of it is really good, but it's overly long, drags, and the rest of the tracks are as mundane and boring as they come.

We took some nice footage of M83 back in October, check it out :

Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts is a perfect album to me. Before the Dawn Heals Us is pretty good but a little hit or miss. I haven't heard the other albums.

I only heard a track for the first time yesterday 'Kim and Jessie'. Seemed OK. Is that a good indicatoe of their sound at all?

Not really, or at at least not the sound I love them for. Their second album Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts is nearly instrumental and much less bubblegum and more shoegazerish than that song. Here's an example of what I mean:

I think those two tracks combined have'nt convinced me to delve any deeper. Cheers anyhow!
