HI. I'm new, and I'm obsessed with almost all music ever.

Does anybody here know of/ follow GRIME? If not please explain why

oh yeah and just to prove this belongs in the electronic thread here are some MC's over a bassline house/niche riddim (basically two-step UK Garage, but renamed for no reason whatsoever)

grime is awesome. check out Eligh & Magi's The Grime Brothers for a great release. also Freedom Lasso by Akala, and of course MIA's newest, Kala

safe...too true I'm big on MIA's debut, it's not really grime though. If you like MIA's eclectic, world-wide electro sound there's an EP by a grime MC called Durrty Goodz that merked the UK underground last year. His album is due to drop this year and I guarantee he will blow. I can't post links yet (need 2 do 15 posts) but google 'Durrty Goodz myspace'.
The EP is pretty grimey, but it's laid the groundwork, he mashes it up with reggae, dancehall, hip hop.

I do not follow GRIME because it's highly overrated. As much as Rephlex is glorified, the majority of the stuff they put out is not worth spending money on

Grime is an underground scene unto it's own with many different sounds and artists. Just because you can't buy it in Wal-Mart does not make it invalid. Granted it's appeal may be pretty localised, it's mainly aggressive two-step and a very niche sound.
Are you talking about Rephlex Records?? That's an IDM label... not even remotely connected to grime, dude!

No we aren't talking about the same thing. Rephlex used the term grime back in the early 2000s which was refering to braindance/IDM. I guess the term Grime is also used for something completely different. My bad.
