Default Blaq Audio

Has anyone heard the new side project from Davey and jade of AFI? I bought the CD when it first came out and love it. Its definitely quite a change from AFI but in a good way. I like how they mix it up a little bit and do their own thing with it. What does everyone else think of it?

I never liked AFI. my brother is into them, and when he bought decemberrunderground I was exposed to it all day. Once I heard 37mm though, I said "they need to do more stuff like this...it's way better than the other crap." When I heard that they were doing an electronic side project, I was a little hesitant, but Thom Yorke did it brilliantly, so I figure i'll give these guys a chance. I think CexCells is a very good album. Not perfect, but I really enjoy it. I recently found out that 37mm was supposed to be blaqk audio, but they thought it fit on decemberunderground nicely, so they left it go. Point is, I like Blaqk Audio, and I hope that either AFI does more like it, or Blaqk Audio sticks around.

I liked them when I heard them the other day. I only listened to Stiff Kittens though. I should probably listen to the rest...

It's nice that Davey and Jade have this outlet for their "other" musical love. You can tell that Jade definitely grew up listening to the likes of Depeche Mode, and he couldn't quite brush those influences under the carpet. I saw them (B.A.) in concert, and enjoyed the experience (as much as you can an all keyboard band). Definitely a good album, as far as Electronica is concerned.

I love Blaqk Audio. I read a review in a magazine called Blunt. They gave them 0/10. I was a little bit put off the cd when I read that, but I still went out and bought the cd. I listening to it, and I said to myself, what is wrong with the people from blunt. I would give it an 8/10 at the least.
