Default Dj Spooky

I'm going to consider it one of the monumental failures of MB to not introduce me to him earlier. I searched the forums and found about three related posts - shiftael, stu, and hiu... so props to you guys. What Dalek is for hip-hop and industrial/noise Dj Spooky does for hip-hop and avant-garde... traces of ambient, musique concrete, trip-hop, etc. can all be found in here. Soundscapes in the truest sense, but they manage to be much more listenable with the hip-hop beats and loops.

Try KRUDER & DORFMEISTER-THE K & D SESSIONS if you like Spooky. They are two of the best remixers around, and completely subvert the original tracks that they remix. Really ambient and chilled.

I'm watching Dog Day Afternoon as I type this. Weird.

I'm downloading this, I hope it's as good as you guys are saying it is.

After a few listens I think I prefer Muslimgauze TBH. They both sound sort of similar.

This reminds me of some of the stuff that Meat Beat Manifesto does. Not a lot of it, but there are some tracks that are reminiscent of this stuff.
