I have no illusions that live electronica can be pulled off completely live, but I do know some DJs out there can at least make a highly personalized and interesting show. I saw Bassnectar in Chicago a while back and his computer crashed 10 minutes in. He then proceeded to use his backup which had nothing but a bunch of snips and works-in-progress on it. In the end, he nailed it... It was the best Bassnectar show I've been to. Plus we all got to hear stuff no one had heard yet.

I guess what I'm saying is this is crap. Oh, electronic music is hard to play live? Don't do it then. I respect talent... Not your presence on stage. Who said any live music was easy? Guitar is hard... If you can't play like Joe Satriani, don't write music that's that hard to play.
