Default VNV Nation

Anyone listen? I found them while compiling a techno cd for a party. They are A-Okay!

I don't really take their fancy when it comes to music.

Erm... no.
KMFDM is way more industrial metal/ electronic rather then VNV Nation who is more..well..generic electro? Some of their music is decent sounding, but it's no different from the expected of it's genre.

and you just don't compare the two. KMFDM is light years better.

I have a VNV Nation album 'Judgement' and it's okay but bands like Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb were doing this sort of thing years before (and better)

I saw VNV Nation live their last 4 tours (Empire, Futureperfect, Matter & Form, and Judgement). Although I agree that this band is not as much Industrial as much as EBM. I hated Matter & Form (w/ the exception of the single Chrome), but the other 3 CDs I mentioned were fantastic. A few of my friends (that went w/ me) are actually more hardcore into it, but I think it's good music to groove to. I mean seriously, who can't dance to Solitary, Standing, Joy, Honour (2003 edit), Momentum, and of course Kingdom and Fragments...

I have their last 4 albums (the ones mentioned in the post above) and love them. I got into them via their song "Holding On" which strangely enough is one of their quieter numbers.

I've gotten into a whole lot better techno/industrial/edm/whatever music since then.

And I even gave Lords of Acid a second chance. I love the song "**** me up the Rear."
