What are some underrated Electronic albums that are worth checking out?

Check out a guty called Tomita the original Van Gelis it's not dance but it is electric.

Funny you should bring up Tomita, I bought 'Snowflakes are Dancing' on vinyl. He's a Japanese composer and this album is electronic versions of Debussy songs. I had never listened to anything like that before...

I was trying to think up a good album, but I have to say that anything by mu-Ziq is wicked, even his Spatula Freak alias. Check it out.

I agree. I should clarify and say that instead of underated I mean more like unknown or less known.

I agree. People often assume that electronic = techno/trance (even though what they classify as techno/trance is... ugh), and then they just leave it at that. It's just so much more.

That is so true. People listen to one song and then decide that they dont like it. Or they've had a stereotype put into their heads about it and dont even give it a chance. It was my first love-affair with music really, and since then I've expanded into everything under the sun. But electronica is not given the credit it deserves. People say that because there isnt any actualy instrumentation in electronica music that it requires no skill. I'd love to show them some of the equipment required to produce a 5 minute trance track.

the most underrated album and artist in my opinion is Gigi D'Agostino - L'Amour Toujour.

Hello, new ot the forum and I'd agree with this post wholehearedly..
I used to be that way, note USEd but that was several years ago..
It was Robert Miles that opened my eyes, then soon after I found enigma, then some lighter trance stuff then I delved deeper and found gabber/hardcore and very hooked on those two styles.
Takes just as much talent for lectronica as any other style
