Evol Intent did a live show in ATL not to long ago with live drums and guitars. It was pretty epic.

are just a few DnB artists I like. Compilations are usually better as many tracks are just one offs. The Moving Shadow samplers were excellent in getting underground stuff out there.

If you want a really diverse DNB look up Goldie. Has some real mellow stuff sounding like jamiroquai up to some harder stuff simuliar to the prodigy

Goldie does'nt have a huge rep over here for Drum and Bass to be honest. LTJ Bukem is highly respected but his release are too mellow for a lot of people. Other good mix's are the ever popular Hospital mix's:

yeah dnb really isnt my thing. I got a friend who lives by it and anyone from hospital as you mention. I only listen to dnb when he sends me songs or links to their music. I prefer Hardstyle and dubstep moreso.

As far as American drum n bass, I would say perhaps the flag ship is Dieselboy although it is rather hard for my taste, I am into liquid or the hospital records crew as mentioned above. ak1200 is another guy in the states, but also follows the harder style( both live shows are good, ak1200 almost made my ears split though with his evil high pitches, by live here I mean tables and an MC.) Another good solid DnB album is from Pendulum- Hold your colour. As far as someone who is into the live scene and plays live drums and synth and American side is Kj sawka (youtube.com/watch?v=Zh0aF3h455Y) and you can also check out his other various videos floating there as well.
