To be utterly brutal, and I am generally not prone to be overly critical and can generally find good in most music that I hear, Pacific Ocean Blue by Dennis Wilson is the most ordinary record that I have heard this year. After reading the hype I D/loaded and was to say the least under whelmed. The use of the term Classic leaves me wondering if the press are just praising this because it is a Beach Boy. If an unknown band had thrown that up it would have been but a footnote in the history of the Obscuro genre and that is where Pacific Ocean Blue belongs. To me it sounds like Rumours out-takes at their very worst.
