Whoops double post. But apparently I had seen this before, cuz I posted on it about the Cramps back when I was phantom133pz. I like them a lot more then I did back then too, it would appear. Good thread. I'm gonna finish reading all your new commentary soon. I'm very seriously wanting to do a top 100 of my own and I'm reading through to see how much it seems I need to write on each one based on all the dozens of other ones on here.

I have to thank this thread for convincing me to get 'Low' and 'Screamadelica'. They are two albums I feel like I have been waiting for all my life. Both give me everything I have ever wanted from music all in one album.

I don't know why, but I got the impression that you DIDN'T like Sabbath's "Sabotage" album. Guess I was wrong. It is a favorite of mine as well. Some of the most brutal Ozzy/Sabbath tracks are on that album.

Also, I've never gotten the chance to thank you Urban for convincing me to buy some Pavement. I got Wowee Zowee deluxe edition, and that's basically when I got into indie music. One of my favorite albums now, so a BIG thanks to you!
Also, being 4-5 years since you made this list, are there any albums in there you would definitely switch out now? Have your tastes since then changed substantially or do you feel this is still a good representation of your 100 favorite albums? |
