So glad that this might be back - I have trouble keeping up with all the journals and this could really help. Thanks, Trollheart!

I'd pretty much like to say that both Goofle and Sidewinders journals on the best albums of each year, serve as great listening lists for anybody wanting to really explore the best of rock since the 60s onwards (or be reminded) They're alike yet very different and anybody listening to both lists should cover the spectrum in some detail.

The topical theme is a must read, another well written piece by Janszoon. This issue: Capitol K—Andean Dub (2008) The Exotica of Baxter's Jungle Jazz + Downtempo = Capitol K's Folktronica.

^ you're welcome

@ Trollheart, did you post your results of your journal questionnaire? I was curious how that was going.

You know, I kind of got tangled up in the preparations for Metal Month II and it slipped my mind. Obviously I'm not gong to get to it this month, but after MMII I'll look back at it and see what we have learned, if anything. Might be a good time to resurrect the thread, methinks. Get some new perspectives...

Default Update: comin' back online....

Now that I've finished the gargantuan task of running Metal Month II, I can start to read your journal entries and get this thing movin' again shortly.

Watch this space!
