Yeah, I can imagine a typical Batty update:
"This week some losers did something in their crappy journals, but who cares? My journal has [fifty pages later] Oh and there are other journals here but they all suck balls so check them out if you're a poser, I don't care. Toodles!"

Why don't you read a bunch of boring journals every week.

I meant to put you in italics. Like so...
Why don't you read a bunch of boring journals every week.

Alright, so maybe I'll give this a shot. I'm not about to go figure out almost two months of updates by myself, let alone read (i.e. skim) them all, so if you've made updates since Trollheart's last post here, then shoot me a PM. If I don't hear from you, then I'll just try do what's been done since the beginning of October. Or just be lazy. No promises.

I think it was more your contention that his, and everyone else's journal, is boring that annoyed him. Perhaps if you had wrote "About a millionth as awesome as mine", he would have understood...

I don't really care either way. It was about time for Ki's weekly bitch-a-thon anyway.

Because you guys asked for it....
Previously, in Journal Land: After taking a month off in September I of course missed out on a whole lot of updates, so this is going to try to address that, while skimming even more over your journals than I do usually. It’s just to try to give an overall flavour of what you guys have been doing while I was relaxing by the … I mean, hard at work, writing Metal Month III. As it will cover all the entries since my departure at the very end of August, however, there will be no other sections, awards, cartoons or anything like that. It’s going to be something of a minor miracle if I can get all the updates done and ready for publication before tonight, so let’s get going. Going back as far as then, it would appear that Anteater is again first to get the show on the road, and in http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...ravaganza.html it seems he just had the one update, back at the begining of September, with his Yacht Rock playlist, featuring among others Ed Motta, Bobby Caldwell, Boz Scaggs and Donald Fagen. Music to sail to! He was much busier in http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...r-journal.html where, along with his partner in music Unknown Solider, they were finishing counting down the top albums of 1976, with Styx at number 2 with The Grand Illusion and who else but Boston with their self-titled classic debut right at the top? Oddly enough, US either got confused or there was a misprint, or they’re skipping 1977 entirely and heading into the top ten for 1978? Anyway, before that (and I’m sure the boys will clear up any confusion) they’re looking at the self-titled debut (you know what? I’m making that an acronym from now on!) from The Babys. Their last meaningful entry through was September 23, so that was almost a month ago. Expect to see them explode back into this journal soon. I hope. http://www.musicbanter.com/members-journal/82818-batlords-manowar-discography-hell-music-banter.html[/img] got kicked back into life as he finished off the studio albums last week with The Triumph of Steel and Sign of the Hammer. Even if you hate Manowar you really need to read these reviews as they can be bloody hilarious! Batty wasn’t done there though, as he opened a whole new journal at the end of September which he titled http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...ite-about.html, and afdter writing some scathing prose about Dave Mustaine, Megadeth and Metallica, he is now into YouTubes who play games online for the enjoyment of others, as well as meeting up with Kesha to kick some cop ass. Definitely worth a look. Black Francis mused on some sequels or remakes he would enjoy in http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...ms-nes-ps.html, with Pokemon Snap and Megaman among them, also looking into Discworld and Brigandine. Two more http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...stronauts.html from Freebase Dali, with Nameless and The End. Though it isn't. The end, I mean. One entry from http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...es-patrol.html which came early in September as he told us all about the Community Outreach Program he’s involved in. Good work, man! http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...oving-sec.html like Carly Rae Jepsen and Kitty, while http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...63-2015-a.html winds to a close as he hits 2014 with the likes of Kitty, Lana del Rey, Liz and Run The Jewels. A journal that I’ve ben a little apprehensive about approaching is http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...nnerspace.html, as I know Innerspaceboy writes a phenomenal amount in a week, and god knows what he’s been getting up to over almost two months! So here are some edited highlights: Flea Market Funk, Downtempo classics, Psybient Dreams, The Last.fm project, The End of Scrobbling, Basic Hip …. and that’s just September! This month, so far, he’s written about Underworld’s 20th anniversary LP, K-Mart and taken us on a guide around his house! Phew! And that’s only some of what you can find in his journal. This guy is intense! September was Horror Game Month down at http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...is-arcade.html, all of which I missed, and I hope he won’t mind if, instead of going through all the entries, I instead reproduce his handy index to that month, here
Week 1: Sept. 1st - 4th September 1st: Introduction & Outlast September 2nd: Five Nights at Freddy's: Part I - First game success September 3rd: Zombie Survival Games: H1Z1 / DayZ / 7 Days To Die September 4th: Games That Are Scary For Different Reasons: Part I - Don't Starve Series Week 2: Sept. 7th - 11th September 7th: Five Nights at Freddy's: Part II - Too many god damn sequels September 8th: Screenshots Galore: Horror Edition September 9th: Why Jump Scares Are Awesome September 10th: Games That Failed To Be Scary September 11th: Let's Talk About...SOMA: Teaser trailers and what to expect Week 3: Sept. 14th - 18th September 14th: Left 4 Dead 2 September 15th: Games That Are Scary For Different Reasons: Part II - Limbo September 16th: How To Survive & How To Survive 2 Hype September 17th: My Experience With Dead Space September 18th: Video Game Music: Horror Edition Week 4: Sept. 21st - 25th September 21st: Youtubers & Horror Games September 22nd: Favorite Characters From Horror Games I September 23rd: Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth Hype September 24th: Amnesia: The Dark Descent - Possibility of a sequel? September 25th: SOMA...First Impressions Week 5: Sept. 28th - 30th September 28th: Favorite Characters From Horror Games II September 29th: Creepy / Depressing Moments in Video Games September 30th: The End / Finale Having completed this mega-feat, he then moved on, as this month dawned, to “Companions in Video Games”, with first pets and then humans focussed on. Now he’s moved on to Rampage Knights and This War of Mine. Lots of work put in there Ki: sorry I missed it, though I’m no games fan nor indeed one of horror, so I probably would just have skimmed it anyway. I can see it was something of a labour of love through, so kudos. Another new journal to start up during this period was http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...your-time.html, which as yet has to come up with an entry, but it’s early days: only began this week. There was more http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...cking-out.html as Occulthawk introduced us to Aufgehoben at the end of August, the sailing-close-to-the-line named Psacal Niggenhemper in September and Anthony Pateras and Robin Fox last week. Oriphiel brought the very entertaining http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...rgy-story.html to a close with the final chapters and even an epilogue and as one journal ends so another starts up (Circle of life!), with http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...c-journal.html featuring his favourite album so far this year, Mount Eerie’s Sauna. http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...listening.html answered that question last week with Eric Mantel while in http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...ramblings.html he was talking about the movie Straight Outta Compton and his vinyl collection http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...ory-music.html continues as TechnicLePanther tells us about the ancient music of Grece while a new journal opens from a new member, looks like he’ll have plenty to contribute to the community as Traveling Alone takes us onhttp://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...americana.html, with Uncle Tupelo and Todd Snider. My own journals of course went into stasis while I was away, and even now that I’m back I dont have time to attend to any ofthem while Metal Month III is in full swing. Rather than drone on about what’s been happening in that, with up to four updates per day every day, I’m just going to direct you to http://www.musicbanter.com/rock-meta...ss-thread.html here where you can check out what’s being posted. Nothing new will happen in any of my other journals until this completes, as I’m sure you all understand. That just leaves the ever-reliable http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...y-history.html, where Unknown Soldier is wrapping up the top ten for 1985, with Possessed, SOD and Exodus before we hit the top three with Slayer, Megadeth and number one for this year, Celtic Frost. and of course where would we be without Yorkedaddy’s seminal http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...tasy-epic.html? Catch up on the latest episodes now! And tell me what they’re about: I haven’t had a minute to read them yet.. So sorry for the long delay guys; hope I got everyone and if I didn't, well let me know. Next week we'll try to get things back to some semblance of normality. Till then, as ever, Toodles!
