Interestingly, perhaps a little sadly, I find looking down the list of updates this week that I'm all over the place and am by far the one with the most done on his journal, but then considering how lax I've been in recent weeks I'm just about making up for lost time. As for the rest, well read on...

First, in http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...d-journal.html there's a new section called “Swan song”, in which I look at the final album released by a band or artiste, kicking off with Genesis' farewell shot, the “lost review” of Carcass's “Heartwork” that went missing during Metal Month, and I dip my toes in the bubbly waters of chart music as I take on a review of Britney's new one.

There are a lot of new things coming very soon in http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...-emporium.html, including Robin of Sherwood, Life on Mars, The Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Father Ted. Did I not mention Father Ted? Father Ted is coming too. For now, there's a really important episode of Babylon 5 to get your teeth into, while http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...i-reviews.html finally makes its return with a look at “Aeneid” by Heimdall, and one more of those http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...ver-heard.html to chalk off the list, as I discover the delights of Marvin Gaye's “What's going on”, thanks to Surell!

Urban's still plugging away at http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...who-thing.html, with a look at the 2011 Christmas special and also a feature on how the Beatles and Doctor Who met. Sort of. Then in http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...nal-stuff.html you'll never guess the name of the album he wants to see released...

After his success with his “Drunken ramblings” last week, seems YorkeDaddy is putting the bottle to one side and writing some sobre ramblings, and this time in http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...-personal.html he's on about the debut album from Chvrches, which I can attest is absolutely excellent! Oh, but more importantly than that, he's hinted at the release of a new cloudcover album! What? You haven't heard “Frownland?” Give me one reason why I should not Unfriend you, right away! What? I'm not on Facebook? Fair enough. Give me one reason why I should not join Facebook, Friend you, and immediately Unfriend... yeah look it's just easier --- and will make you a lot happier --- to listen to his album. Not much point in choosing a post of the week this week, as most of the posts are mine! Well not all but yeah, the lion's share. And self-praise, as we know, is no praise. Sorry man, I tried. But after being sick and getting a new position at work, my schedule has been all over the place. Things will get back to normal in the next week so expect some more updates. I've got a band with a few albums that I am eager to discuss.
