I miss Erica actually. The first time I saw her username, I must admit I had her down as a sort of naive teenage wannabe-treehugger .. Like a vegan angel, showcasing her diet choice and how angelic she was or being a vegan made her. Even if I don't agree with her on all topics regarding diet and morality, I was surprised to find out she was a lot more mature than I initially thought and there was plenty of depth to her convictions.

I also thought her niceness was actually quite nice. We already have a lot of cynics so I found her positive do-good attitude different and somewhat refreshing. I hope she comes back and starts posting more again.

Do we have cynics? I guess I'm in the wrong threads. I'd grant you that we have vicious people, but I don't think of them as necessarily pessimistic.

I'm thinking of cynic as something along the lines of this Merriam Webster definition :

Where captious is defined like this :

2: calculated to confuse, entrap, or entangle in argument
And so I think many if not most can be said to (often) behave like cynics on forums, me included. But never Erica from what I can remember.

Well I'd say thats a horrible definition, but maybe thats because it sounds like me. But also, I think that engaging in conversation with passion seems like the opposite of a cynic to me.

Either way, I think you're right, Erica is none of the above.
