I post on two large music forums and, although I don't consider MB to be very bad, it is definetly the more savage of the two!

Trust me, MB is one of the tamest forums I've ever been on, personally. Or maybe I've just associated with a lot of bitchy, easily butthurt people in all my years of Internet forum use.

I've been a regular forum userfor about 10 years now so I've seen forums in both ends of the spectrum. The "best" forums I've been a member of have been the ones that are efficiently moderated. The friendliest overall that I can remember was actually the forums for the Norwegian MMORPG Anarchy Online which I frequented many years ago. Of course, they had paid moderators.

Well I guess I haven't really posted on that many forums before so I can't speak from experience, but some people do get abused here.
